Privacy Policy

Tao Studio LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Teacup: Cozy Sudoku iOS app (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information when you use the App. The short version: we never receive any of your data. Your progress stays on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own iCloud account.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect, store on our servers, or share any personal data. The App has:

• No accounts or sign-in
• No analytics
• No advertising
• No tracking
• No servers of ours, and no connections to anyone else's

2. Data Stored on Your Device

To save your game, the App keeps the following on your device only, using standard iOS local storage:

• Levels completed
• Leaves earned and spent
• Items placed in your room
• The puzzle you are currently playing
• Your settings

This data is never sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the App removes it from your device.

3. iCloud Sync

From version 1.1, if you are signed in to iCloud, the App keeps a small copy of your game progress (levels completed, daily puzzles solved, items placed in your rooms, and whether you have seen the welcome) in your own iCloud account, using Apple's iCloud key-value storage. This lets a new iPhone pick up where you left off.

This copy is stored by Apple in your iCloud account and is covered by Apple's privacy policy. We cannot see or access it. You can turn it off for the App in iOS Settings > [your name] > iCloud, and removing the App's iCloud data there deletes it.

4. Daily Reminder

If you turn on the optional daily reminder, the App asks iOS for permission to show notifications and schedules a reminder on your device. The reminder is created and delivered entirely by your device; nothing is sent to us or to any notification service. You can turn it off in the App's settings or in iOS Settings at any time.

5. Third-Party Services

The App does not include any third-party SDKs or services.

The App is purchased and downloaded through Apple's App Store, and the optional iCloud sync uses Apple's iCloud; both are governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

6. Data Sharing

Because we do not collect any personal data, we have nothing to sell, share, or transfer to anyone.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Your game progress stays on your device for as long as the App is installed. To delete it, delete the App; to delete the iCloud copy too, remove the App's data from iCloud in iOS Settings. Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

8. Children's Privacy

Teacup is suitable for all ages. Since the App collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children either.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
